Ode to growing up.

It's funny that you can sit back and see what in your life needs to change but never actually get to that point. It's in reach but it almost has an invisibility of some sort, and it's kind of mocking you. It's like you already have hindsight but you're just not listening, are you? Yeah, me either. It's a lot harder than it seems.

Happy new year!

Yeah - I've also had the classic problem of knowing all the right things, but stll doing all the wrong things. The problem is that our ethics and ethos are all awry. Ethics (knowing the right thing) and ethos (doing the right thing) used to be the same thing (in the Garden of Eden) - but because of sin it became chaotic and seperate. So much of Jesus Christ's salvation is about bringing the two back together. That's a certain joy I also attain to, but often fall way short in the ethos/doing part.

This is a beautiful tension to be living in Whitnee - to be realizing this at your age is quite honorable.
